N.I. (Ian) Nicholson is a Black transgender Autistic writer who founded Barking Sycamores in 2014. Besides serving as Sycamores editor-in-chief, he is also the Coordinating Editor for Autonomous Press‘ NeuroQueer Books imprint. Ian’s poetry and essays have appeared in qarrtsiluni, Alphanumeric (a project of Nonbinary Review), Assaracus, and GTK Journal. Recent editorial work also includes co-editing the 2015 Spoon Knife Anthology as well as the Summer 2014 Issue of Red Wolf Journal. Ian earned his MFA in Creative Writing from Ashland University in Summer 2016. He also blogs at The Digital Hyperlexic and will be launching The Teselecta Multiverse as both blog and Patreon sites in January 2017.
V. Solomon Maday began his love of music as a child and expanded his love of the arts to poetry after he met the editor-in-chief back in 2000. He is an Organist, accompanist, and choir director, beginning his career at age 16 when he started playing for a local church. He performed in many different venues in his late teens and early twenties, including a major production known as Jhankar, an Indian cultural program which featured local talent and spotlight artists. His recent interests include theology, science fiction, law, and philosophy. He lives in Grove City with his life partner.
