YOUR DAILY FROWN IS A FACTORY FOR DEATHS AND EVERY NEW CBS SERIES, Joseph Goosey

Your Daily Frown Is A Factory For Deaths And Every New CBS Series
by Joseph Goosey

We are not alive
in the sense
that being alive
is cause for not
I mean just squinting
sometimes burdens
but I won’t dwell
until I dwell
Tonight
after the acupuncture
delivered to a horse
we’ll be alive
or we won’t
I can’t tell horoscopes
I read the fuckers
on the daily
and am let down daily
Whatever
Send in the clowns
At this point
Our lies
are our days
or something cynical
This isn’t New York
This isn’t 1972
This is North Carolina
This is 2016
We burn
the same as ever
I lie of course
about the burning
we’re complacent
as squirrels beneath rain
Did you know
squirrels don’t care
about rain
They don’t care
about our well being
I know
what squirrels don’t care about
but don’t know
what squirrels care about
This is Catholicism
30 years of taking breaths
