NEW OBLIVION, Ndabenhle S. Mthembu

New Oblivion
by Ndabenhle S. Mthembu

It’s not that it’s numb, blue nor grey
I’m oblivious to the stars between my night and day
Maybe that’s why I never feared my own minds decay
All the distorted sounds at play
A little slow socially delayed
On a different tempo
Tongue tied but the ink flowed
But how do You quote Your own work though
Because somehow this is nothing too
The first time I wrote this the pen was blue
A little less red ink and this might be something new
